A1 Portfolio

Hi, im new to the site. Just finished a workshop for the A1 award. I will be working on level 2 & 3 in 2 weeks with my candidates & assessor. I would like to get started with my portfolio and just wondered if there is anything I could be doing before I meet with my assessor . I have a copy of my CRB,CV, but is there anything else I could be getting on with. Thanks

As a new assessor I would advise that the bestplace to start is not your portfolio but learning as much as possible about assessing. To a point this is a lot easier when you are actually working with your candidates. Assessing is a practical skill that is best learnt through experience.

While you are waiting you may have been given some information by your assessment centre that you can browse for ideas. Also have a look in the qualifications section of the awarding body that you are working with.

Once you are up and running with your candidates and assessor and getting confident your portfolio will be much easier to put together.
